If you are able to host a visiting dancer for the weekend, please select the “I Can Host!” option on the registration page. We will contact you with a housing questionnaire closer to the event and then match you up people needing hosting. If you are not planning on registering for the weekend, but still want to host then email us at BIX Housing
If you’ve never hosted before, you’re in for a treat! Hosting is the best way to get to know dancers from other cities and they are a great group of people to have as guests. Your hospitality allows us to welcome dancers who otherwise might not be able to travel to our city and share their dancing experience with us.
You will be responsible for providing a place to sleep and basic amenities, such as TP and a shower. Food, transportation and anything else that might cost you extra or be inconvenient are not required or expected. But these needs are often shared out of convenience or hospitality, so we’ll try to match you up with guest(s) based on your answers to the questionnaire.
We’ll introduce you to your guest(s) when we get closer to the event so you can work out the details, including whether they need to bring anything with them. (e.g. blankets, towels, air mattress, etc.)
If you would like to stay with a local dancer for the weekend, please select the “I Need Housing!” option on the registration page. We will then contact you with a housing questionnaire closer to the event. If you have any other questions you can contact BIX Housing
If you’ve never been hosted before, prepare yourself for a great experience! Being hosted really adds to the exchange experience and we hope you will take advantage of it! It is the best way to get to know dancers from other cities and have a “family” for the weekend. We have been able to provide housing for all of our attendees in the past, and although we can’t technically guarantee it, we will do our best to make it happen again this year. It is first-come, first-serve so the sooner you register, the better.
Hosts are expected to provide a place to sleep and shower. Food, transportation and the like are not required or expected, but these needs are often shared amongst the “family” out of convenience or hospitality, so we’ll try to match you up based on your questionnaire. You may need to bring some things with you (e.g. blankets, towels, air mattress, etc.) which you can work out with your host.
We’ll introduce you to your host when we get closer to the event so you can work out all the little details together. If there are any problems or if we run out of space, we will contact those of you whom we couldn’t place.
